Right off the bat my biggest cook book pet peeve is when the title is misleading. The title, Eat the foods you love, and dash, makes it sound like this will be full of quick meals. Nope. This book is two different books squished together. As a different reviewer has said, the comfort food section is a word-for-word copy of another book. I've looked at a lot of cookbooks lately trying to add to my collection and I am finding this more and more. The exact same books with different author names on them all from the same publisher. It is all just people trying to get more money.The comfort food diet section is extremely misleading to begin with. There is nothing "diet" about comfort foods and the recipes are not light versions or reduced fat versions of comfort foods. They are just recipes for a wide variety of foods that some consider comfort foods. The meal plan is unnecessary as this is not a diet.
The DASH diet is designed to lower blood pressure. DASH = Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. (I doubt the authors even realize what DASH stands for when they made the title.) Something that you would have no idea about from the misleading way the title is worded. Again, this isn't a diet in the weight loss sense but more a diet for someone with high blood pressure who is trying to lower it without medications. The authors provide no evidence that they are qualified to endorse such a diet or that it will even do what they claim it will do.
Overall, don't waste your time. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

This is another great recipe book I for my kindle. I am new to buying books for my kindle, so they are different from I expected. It has 198 pages and has some great book Healthy Cookbook series, Eat the Foods You Love and Dash. The only thing I really miss pictures in the recipe books. I like to see what the meals are supposed to look like when they are made.
I got several books at the same time. You will hear me repeat myself but there is not description that you can relay, especially with the authors description that list most items in the book. There is some awesome recipes, I have tried several.

This is a wonderful cookbook that provides delicious recipes that are typically items that we are supposed to give up on diets, such as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, etc. The book also contains a section with recipes that follow the "DASH" concept to help lower blood pressure. All of the recipes in both sections are delicious, and I look forward to incorporating them into a healthy diet.
